Problems that need to be paid attention to in the use of Discount Release agent
Discount Release agent is a functional substance between the mold and the finished product. It is chemically resistant and does not dissolve in contact with different resin chemistries (especially styrene and amines). It also has heat and stress properties, and is not easy to decompose or wear; it adheres to the mold without transferring to the part being processed, and does not interfere with painting or other secondary processing operations. Due to the rapid development of injection molding, extrusion, calendering, molding, lamination and other processes, the dosage of Discount Release agent has also been greatly increased. Since most liquid inner Discount Release agents are acidic, the following issues should be paid attention to during use:
1. When using acid-sensitive pigments, it will cause color changes;
2. When using alkaline fillers, such as calcium carbonate, the acidic Discount Release agent will react with it, causing the viscosity of the mixture to increase, but it will not affect the demoulding effect;
3. If the filler is aluminum hydroxide, the acidic Discount Release agent will not only increase the viscosity of the mixture, but also release water during the curing process of the mixture, causing problems such as bubbles and cracks.
